"Jack!", I called out as I saw Jack fuddle past the front door holding a stack of boxes. I knew he was going to drop them. Sure enough he did. He went on to explain that they weren't fragile so it was OK. It turns out they were fragile enough and that he was trying to keep count of stock. That was my final decision to get my computer to take over the chore, so I tried iMagic Inventory. What did I find? Receiving orders caused a lot less breakages! You can make the reorders automatic, so you can set a level to create a reorder, then at the end of the month I create the reorders just by selecting them. Then when the orders come in I just mark them off the reorder. The amounts are updated automatically as well. Keeping everything together is great as well. I could get rid of the order book and stock lists, and also combine wholesale and retail pricing into the system. This stops the situation where you have to look up in different books. It's easy to make a mistake and just a pain. With this system you enter in more than one 'price' which is much more organized. Jack is happier, I'm happier and the cleaner probably is too!
